Safeguarding Coordinators, Presbytery Safeguarding Contacts and Safeguarding Trainers have received our Safeguarding Service News, January 2017, updating on latest developments. Highlights include:
- A revised SG3 Self Declaration form (2017) for all PVG Scheme applicants to better reflect Disclosure Scotland’s New Rules about what offences need to be disclosed or not
- Revisions to the Congregational Register form SG3 (2017) with the end of PVG Scheme Retrospective Checking
- An updated Safeguarding Audit Checklist: for Congregations, the Annual Inspection of Records and Local Church Review, SG11 (2107). This form now records information about annual safeguarding training provision and unmet needs.
- Confirmation about the interchangeability of Boys’ Brigade/Girls’ Brigade leaders’ safeguarding training modules and the Church’s Introductory Safeguarding training for Volunteers.
