The Priority Areas team works with the Priority Areas Committee (a committee of the Ministries Council) and partner organisations engaged in tackling the causes and effects of poverty in Scotland today. The team is responsible for the support, development and coordination of the Church’s work within its poorest communities.
We are looking for a creative person with vision who can work with priority area congregations to develop a range of creative models and resources for worship that will inspire and increase confidence and include all demographics within the worshipping community. You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding and vision for modern/contemporary worship, understand the needs and utilise the expertise within the Priority Areas congregations, and have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to significantly different audiences. You will be highly organised, have a proven track record of working in partnership with a wide range of agencies. Your attitude will be positive, enthusiastic and you will have the ability to enthuse and motivate others.
The successful candidate must be a Committed Christian with a live Church connection which is a genuine occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010.
Priority for the poorest and the most marginalized is the gospel imperative facing the whole Church, not just the Church in the poorest places
