John Montgomery

John Montgomery is a former Company Secretary with 30 years' experience in the Scotch Whisky industry, including 13 years as a Member Nominated Trustee of the Allied Domecq Pension Scheme where he worked within the Operations and Investment sub committees as well as other ad hoc committees.

During his time as a Trustee he gained valuable insights into the workings of a major final salary pension scheme.

John also has an abiding interest in The Boys' Brigade movement having served on the Executive Committee of Glasgow Battalion and looked after the staff 's interests in the Brigade's UK Pension Scheme.

He became a member of the Church of Scotland in 1962 and recently completed an eight-year term as Session Clerk of his local church in Glasgow.

John became a Member Nominated Trustee of the Pension Scheme for Staff in November 2020.
