Get Involved
There are many different ways to get involved with the Church of Scotland in your local community or on a national or international level.
In this section you can find out about our wide range of vacancies, including parish minister posts, and volunteering opportunities in the Church and with partner agencies.
At the national level the Church seeks dedicated people to serve on our councils and committees, and working groups as well as recruiting staff in support functions.
Local churches depend on volunteers to help them serve their communities. Volunteer activities can include organising events, staffing a community foodbank, helping run a Bible study group or joining a pastoral care team.
Church appeals support charities in Scotland and around the world. The Guild, for example, raises thousands of pounds each year to benefit projects that make a real and lasting difference to people's lives.
Other ways you can get involved with the Church include writing to your MPs and MSPs in support of Church-led campaigns and building relationships with other faith communities.
You can also share information about items you may wish to donate to other churches or let people know if there is something you are looking for through our items offered and wanted.
Whatever your talents or interests the Church can give you an opportunity to get involved and share your gifts.
