The offices are within a 20 minute walk, or 10 minute taxi ride during rush hour, of Edinburgh's two main train stations at Waverley and Haymarket, as well as its bus station at St Andrew's Square. Buses serving the city include Megabus, Scottish Citylink and Stagecoach, which operates the Fife park and ride facility from Inverkeithing. Edinburgh Airport is approximately 30 minutes away by direct bus link or car. A park and ride facility also exists at nearby Ingliston.
You can also take a bus across the city, with the closest stops along Princes Street. City bus services include Lothian Buses and First Bus.
The offices in George Street have wheelchair-friendly access, which is adjacent to the 'traditional' entrance. Once inside the building, a lift enables those with mobility problems to access all floors. A toilet for the disabled is available on the ground floor. There are also a number of parking bays for those with the official blue disabled parking permits immediately outside the office.
The Church of Scotland offices at 121 George Street are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Parking
There are facilities along George Street and South Castle Street, but parking can be notoriously difficult at times and it is not recommended that visitors use the parking bays outside the offices if they are likely to be staying for a long time. Parking costs are 45p for every 15 minutes, up to a maximum of three hours (£5.40), and charges apply from 8.30am to 6.30pm. Traffic wardens operate in the area at all times. There are a number of longer term parking facilities within a 20 minute walk of the offices at Morrison Street and Kings Stables Road.
CrossReach
The Social Care Council of the Church, known as CrossReach, provides care and support services across Scotland. Its central administration is based at Charis House.
