Community of Faith
A regional opportunity to explore children, young people and family ministry
‘In many of our churches, children, young people and young adults are missing and the vast majority of adults in our population have not been introduced to church or faith as children.’ The Church of Scotland Radical Action Plan 2018
This is an opportunity to:
- Meet with others locally, to share ideas, challenges and good news stories
- Explore creative and innovative ways to develop our vision and practice in nurturing faith with children, young people and families
- Encourage the development of a whole community of faith approach towards faith formation and ongoing discipleship
Who this is for
This event is for anyone (volunteer or paid workers, ministers, elders, and others) who are interested in and concerned about developing their church's children, young people, and family ministry. Ideally, pairs or larger groups from individual congregations would attend, in order to encourage follow-up action after the event. Whether you are in a town or a rural setting; if you have a thriving children and youth ministry, or few or no children, we're sure you'll find this event helpful.
