Events for this year’s Refugee Week, a UK-wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees, will be held both locally (subject to COVID restrictions) and virtually.
Refugee Week takes place every year from the Monday to Sunday of the week around World Refugee Day on 20 June.
You can take part by attending or holding your own Refugee Week event or activity, responding to the theme ‘We Cannot Walk Alone’. Please see the event organiser pack.
You are once again invited to do one or more of eight Simple Acts inspired by the theme.
You can find a list of events on the Refugee Week website, together with more information about the week.
In Scotland, Refugee Festival Scotland takes place every year in the lead up to World Refugee Day. It is produced and coordinated by the Scottish Refugee Council, with hundreds of people and organisations across Scotland coming together to make it happen – from refugee-led community groups and individual artists, to activists and welcome groups, and national cultural institutions.
