The Big Conversation Logo

We’re developing a programme which we hope will have a bit of something for everyone.

About this event

This webinar is an opportunity to explore preaching in the context of Priority Areas ministry. The sessions will be interactive and explore different approaches to preaching while also giving an opportunity to hear from some of our longest serving Priority Areas ministers about their experiences. It's open to all with an interest in preaching, whether you are a minister, deacon, MDS, elder, or member, and whether you are part of a Priority Area congregation or not.

Rev. Dr Lina Toth is the Assistant Principal and Lecturer in Practical Theology at the Scottish Baptist College will lead a session on ‘Finding ourselves in Scriptures: A narrative approach to preaching’

Rev. Ian Galloway has been minister at Gorbals Parish Church in Glasgow for 25 years and will be exploring preaching as dialogue and when the territory of scripture meets the territory of our lives.

Rev. Neil Urquhart has been minister at Fullarton Connexions in Irvine for 32 years and will be sharing the secrets behind his "Sixty Second Sermons" which he developed during lockdown last year and shares daily on social media.

Date and time

The webinar will begin on Wednesday 24 November at 10am and finish at 3pm on Thursday 25 November.
