Advent Day 21: Julie Campbell reflects on letting in light and banishing shade

For the 21st day of Advent a trainee minister shares her reflection on Christmas being a time to let in the light and banish shade.

Julie Campbell, who is currently doing a placement at Govan Linthouse Parish Church in Glasgow, said she hoped that people find what they are searching for.

The video was partly filmed at St Andrew's Church in Drumchapel which hosts a family support charity called 3D Drumchapel.

It provides a range of activities for children as part of work to strengthen relationships and empower families to make positive changes.

Ms Campbell, a student at the University of Glasgow, is a director of 3D Drumchapel and will be looking for a probation placement next summer.

She said: "It's Christmas time, there is no need to be afraid, at Christmas time we let in light and we banish shade.

"God, we know and love the message of Christmas so well, perhaps too well, save us from imagining we have understood all it has to say to us."
