Over 700 Church of Scotland Guild members will come together for the Annual Gathering, with more joining online, on Saturday 7 September 11am - 4pm
This year's theme is ‘Sure Foundations' and the event will take place at the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh.
The Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt Rev Dr Shaw Paterson, will lead Communion and he will also share his reflections on this year's theme.
Speakers will be from the Guild's four new project partners, which are: Crossreach, Bear Necessities Bulgaria, Release International and the Scottish Bible Society.
Five members of the Guild in the Synod of Livinstonia in Malawi, who are visiting areas that they are twinned with in Scotland for two weeks, will take part in the Annual Gathering.
As well as this, the installation of the new National Convener, Christina Paterson of Stirling and Clackmannanshire Guilds Together, will take place..
Rae Lind, the Guild National Convener, said:
"The Annual Gathering gives a start to our new session expanding our horizons beyond the vision of our individual Guilds.
"It gives an opportunity to hear of the wide-ranging impact of our work the previous year, but also helps us focus on the future which includes our projects, our ecumenical and international partnerships and finally our exciting new link with the youth Guild now renamed ‘LIFT' (Love in Fellowship and Trust).
"This year the theme is ‘Sure Foundations' which encourages us to focus on the foundation of our faith Jesus.
"There is much to celebrate in word, song and music whilst we hope the speakers will challenge and encourage in equal measure.
"The Annual gathering is inspiring, bringing members together from all parts of the country and beyond, ensuring we ‘have a sure start to our sure foundations'."
There are still in-person tickets remaining and if you are interested in attending please email guild@churchofscotland.org.uk
The event will be livestreamed on the Church of Scotland website.
