Roots and Wings: Parents and Young Children

Roots and Wings: Equipping the church to support parents and young children

Roots and Wings

A new conference to support those involved in early years ministry.

Strong roots of security, identity and wellbeing give us all wings to fly to be all that we can be. There is a direct connection between the experiences of early childhood and subsequent adult flourishing. 52% of the UK's under-5s attend a church-based toddler group and this gives the Church a great opportunity to impact the lives of young families in local communities.

This conference is for congregations looking to explore how engaging with families and children in their earliest years can be a significant part of ministry.  Whether you and your church are already involved with a baby and toddler group or interested in enabling Scotland’s youngest people and their families to thrive, this conference is for you.

Key Speaker: Alan Sinclair, author of ‘Right from the Start: Investing in Parents and Babies’

Workshops will explore early childhood development, parenting support, developing faith, practicalities, outreach to the community and there will be opportunities to share with others and get useful resources.
