Ascend

Ascend brings together a range of services and opportunities for those in ministry. The heart of Ascend is to provide a creative and safe space that enables meaningful support and development. Our monthly newsletter highlights CMD opportunities, events and services.

Children and Youth Ministry

Ministry with children and young people is exciting and rewarding but can at times be challenging so we all need a little help sometimes. This newsletter aims to keep you informed about forthcoming training, conferences and resources from the Church of Scotland and others that will be of benefit to you in your ministry, and highlights opportunities and events for young people.

Ecumenical Relations

Ecumenical Relations is about building relationships across Christian denominations at the international, nation and local levels. This newsletter highlights events on the global stage, information on how denominations in the UK are developing a closer working relationship, as well as encouragement for local congregations to break down the traditional barriers of denomination to work for the Kingdom of God.

Go For It

Go For It funds projects that encourage creative ways of working that develop the life and mission of the local church and are transformative to both church and communities. This newsletter aims to keep you up to date with main grant deadlines, events and information on the development of a new Growth Fund to begin in 2020 which will supersede Go For It.

The Guild

The Guild sends out a monthly newsletter to inform people of the activities of The Guild both locally and nationally. It gives an insight into the wide range of things we do and how people can get involved.

Mission and Discipleship

The Mission and Discipleship Council produces a monthly newsletter, keeping you up to date with forthcoming events, conferences and resources that we produce to equip congregations and individuals for developing their worship, mission and discipleship.

Priority Areas

Priority Areas sends out a monthly newsletter to share both national and local good news stories directly from our 64 communities. We also include resources, funding and learning opportunities as well as any vacancies within Priority Areas.

Scottish Churches Parliamentary Office (SCPO)

SCPO works with churches across Scotland to engage effectively in the world of politics ā€“ both in Holyrood and Westminster. Sign up to our newsletter to find out what churches are doing, what opportunities are available and how you could get involved in making change happen.

Scottish Faiths Action For Refugees (SFAR)

SFAR is a multi-faith partnership project bringing together Scotlandā€™s main Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Interfaith organisations. We work together on issues of asylum, refugees, migration, inter-cultural dialogue, anti-discrimination and integration. Our monthly newsletter includes stories, news, campaigns and events ā€“ as well as creative ways your church can get involved in offering sanctuary and support.

World Mission

The World Mission Council sends out a weekly e-newsletter, full of things to help you, your church and your community engage with the wider church around the world. This newsletter shares stories of encounters and inspires you to act as you explore the issues of the global church.

Learning Disabilities

Across Scotland, motivated people have signed up to be the learning disability contact for their congregation. We keep in contact with this network through quarterly newsletters. This newsletter contains links to helpful resources and events, as well as ideas of how to make your community of faith an inclusive community of belonging.
