Information for Grant Recipients
Go For It has always aimed to be a supportive Funder. The sections below explain what happens after you receive a Grant award letter. In addition, you're always welcome to contact the Go For It Team by e-mail.
Claiming your Grant
Along with your award letter, you'll have been sent some accompanying forms. If your group is happy to accept the Grant, along with any conditions listed in your letter of award and all those outlined in the General Conditions of Award, you should complete and sign the Grant Acceptance and Bank Details forms and return them to the Go For It Team.
If you've been awarded a Step, Main or Continuation Grant, once you have raised the appropriate match funding, you should also complete and return the Grant Claim Form so that your Grant can be released.
Small Grants are paid in one instalment, upon receipt of the Grant Acceptance form, Bank Details form and (Step Grants only) Grant Claim Form. Main Grants are paid in two instalments each year, and Continuation Grants are paid in one instalment each year, subject to receipt of appropriate reporting documents (you will be sent a Grant Reporting Cycle form which explains this).
If you have any questions regarding the terms of your Grant, please contact the Go For It Team by email.
We'll send you a blank copy of the relevant report form when we advise you of your Award, so that you know what information you need to collect.
Small Grant reports are usually completed between six months and one year after the Grant has been released.
For Main Grants, around six months after your first Grant payment, we'll ask you for a short summary report of how things are going. Then, at the end of your first year of funding, we will ask you for a much fuller report. Eighteen months after your first payment, we'll ask you to send us your audited accounts. At the end of your second year, we'll ask you for another report, and 30 months after your first payment we'll ask again for audited accounts. At the end of your third year, we'll ask you for a final report. The reports and accounts will be requested in December and June each year, in order for Grant payments to be made in January and July. At the end of your first and second year of funding, we'll also ask you to complete a form confirming you've raised sufficient match funding for the next year.
For Continuation Grants, at the end of your first year of funding we'll ask for a report and audited accounts. We'll also ask you to complete a form confirming you've raised sufficient match funding for the next year. At the end of your second year of funding, we'll ask for a final report.
Advertising staff vacancies within projects
A number of our funded projects employ staff to run and develop the work, and posts can be advertised for free on the Church of Scotland vacancies page and on Go For It social media. To advertise vacancies within your project, please contact the Go For It Team by email.
