Privacy Notice for Tabeetha School Alumni Network
Church of Scotland and Tabeetha School is providing you with this information to comply with UK data protection law and to ensure that you are fully informed and we are transparent in how we collect and use your personal data.
Who is collecting the information?
Church of Scotland Office of the Assembly Trustees is the Data Controller. We have an appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO), Alice O'Sullivan who can be contacted by emailing: Privacy@churchofscotland.org.uk
Why are we collecting it and what are we doing with it (Purpose)?
We are collecting personal data to build and maintain a comprehensive alumni network. This allows us to communicate with alumni about news, events, fundraising efforts and opportunities to support the school's mission. The data will only be used for these purposes and for maintaining contact with you as a valued member of the Tabeetha community.
What personal data do we collect?
We collect the following types of personal data of Alumni:
*Full name
*Contact details (i.e. email address, phone number, mailing address, city and country)
*Year of graduation and class details
*Additional voluntary information provided through the alumni registration form, which can include photos, year of graduation, whether you would like to donate now or in the future, events you would attend, professional or personal updates, a testimonial about the school and the ways you wish to be involved
We also collect Donor information:
*Donors contact details, including country, email addresses
*Donor personal opinions
*Donation and engagement history
How are we collecting this information? What is the source?
The information is collected directly from you when you complete our alumni registration form or when you donate to the school.
The lawful basis for the processing
The lawful basis for processing your personal data is UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) "the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes."
Who we share the information with:
Your contact details may be used internally by Tabeetha School for communications and updates related to alumni events, fundraising or news.
To collect your data, we use Microsoft. They are a processor and act on the instructions of the Church in relation to processing of your personal data. There is an appropriate contract and safeguards in place.
Details of data transfers to any third countries or international organisations
Tabeetha School is based in Israel so there are transfers of data from the Church of Scotland in the UK to Israel. Alumni members are based worldwide so there will be data transfers globally. There are appropriate safeguards in place to protect the personal data.
How long do we hold the personal data?
We will retain your personal data for as long as you remain an active member of our alumni network. If you request to be removed from the network, your personal data will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe.
Do we use automated decision making processes, including profiling?
The Church does not process data in this way
Individuals' rights in relation to this processing
Individuals have a number of rights in data protection laws. These rights are detailed here on our website. Not all rights are absolute and some only apply in relation to the lawful basis for processing. For this purpose, all rights apply except for the right to object. If you wish to exercise any of your rights please contact the DPO at Privacy@churchofscotland.org.uk
As the lawful basis is consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you wish to withdraw your consent please contact us at kfreedman@churchofscotland.org.uk who will process your request accordingly.
