That is the advice of elocution expert Richard Ellis, who claims great sermons are given by those people who drink lots of water, learn how to breathe properly, don’t smoke and know how to tell a good story.

Rt Rev Dr Russell Barr was the guest speaker at St Mary's Episcoal cathedral in Edinburgh on 21 August. His sermon on Art and Faith discussed The Last Supper, painted by St George's Tron artist in residence Iain Campbell. The painting was brought from Glasgow specially to ilustrate the sermon.
