Church official delivers new report on tackling food poverty

Sweeping measures to address the problem of food poverty in Scotland have been presented to the Scottish Government by an independent Working Group led by a Church of Scotland official. Rev Dr Martin Johnstone, who is secretary of the Church and Society Council, believes the new powers for Holyrood present a unique opportunity to address the increasing number of people who can’t afford to put food on their table.
