Perth Christian conference will launch new youth ministry for Scotland

Young Christians, and those who support them, will be the focus of a special event in Perth next month when the Awakening Youth Conference comes to the Scottish mainland for the first time.
The two-day event will also see the launch of Awakening Youth Ministries, which aims to work alongside young people locally, regionally and nationally, and support them in their faith journey.
The Awakening Youth Conference 2024 will take place at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Perth on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March.
It is the latest in the annual series which has taken place in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis since 2018 and the first to be held off the island.
A number of youth groups from across the country have already expressed an interest in attending and in addition to hosting the conference, Trinity Church is providing accommodation for delegates to keep costs low.
Along with talks, question and answer sessions and opportunities for worship, the weekend will include a free lunch for pastors and youth leaders at Trinity Church from 1pm on Saturday 16th March.
Awakening Youth Conference founder Matthew MacNeil, who will be among the speakers at the conference, commented: "This will be a focussed time where we are delighted to share some of the heart, vision and future plans of Awakening Youth Ministries – a new ministry initiative with the aim and purpose of coming alongside young people throughout Scotland and supporting them in their journey towards God and with God."

Other speakers this weekend include Rev Kenny Borthwick, former minister at Holy Trinity Church in Edinburgh and now teaching pastor at Martin's Memorial Church, and ministry support worker Donna MacNeil.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a Bible and notebook – but may also want to bring a wallet to help purchase some of the exclusive merchandise on offer.
