Moderator shares a prayer for Pentecost
Published on 9 June 2019
Rt Rev Colin Sinclair, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, shares a prayer he has written to mark the Season of Pentecost, as we today celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit
unpredictable as the wind,
blow the cobwebs from our lives;
unquenchable as the fire,
refine and cleanse us;
yet gentle as a dove,
enfold us in your peace.
Come now and breath new energy into our lives,
and new life into our souls,
by your gracious power.
Come to us, move in us,
work through us,
now and always.
Amen
